- I found this somewhere on the net long time ago, and it has been very useful to me since then. The problem is that in GNOME and GTK, some components like Tabs, Buttons etc take too much space - and since I have only 15'' monitor, I can't waste it. So, all you have to do is to put this small script in your $HOME directory and in your next session, all programs will look much thinner (better). The easiest way to do it is right click on the link, Save Link As... and then just put it in /home/yourusername/
